Crazy Eights

Forces participants to push past their first (often generic) ideas and explore a wider creative solution space quickly.

Input

A clear, single How Might We (HMW) statement.

Output

Eight rough visual ideas per participant, and group alignment on high-potential concept structures.

1. Fold Your Sheet

Every participant takes an A4 sheet of paper and folds it in half three times, resulting in eight distinct panels.

2. Sketch 8 Ideas in 8 Minutes

Set a timer for 8 minutes. In each minute, participants must sketch one unique product interface design or user flow concept in a panel. Do not stop until all 8 panels are filled.

3. Pitch & Vote

Each participant gets 1-2 minutes to present their sketches to the group, followed by silent dot-voting to select the best layouts.
