Job Stories (JTBD)

Focuses development on user context and motivations rather than arbitrary persona demographics.

Input

Customer interview summaries and situational feedback logs.

Output

A set of job stories framed around context, motivation, and expected outcomes.

1. Define the Situation (When...)

Establish the context and triggers. Focus on the circumstances rather than user demographics (e.g. 'When I am running late for a meeting...').

2. Define the Motivation (I want to...)

Describe the action the user wants to perform to address the situation.

3. Define the Expected Outcome (So I can...)

State the value or change the user expects once the action is complete.
